This scenic route will provide opportunities for those who like photography. In addition to the vinery near the campsite, the presence of a hot spring will provide relaxation and rejuvenation. It is the perfect way to soak up the therapeutic benefits of the mineral-rich waters. The thermal water contains chlorine-sodium-calcium substances and its temperature is between 23 and 32 °C. Gjirokaster is a historic city known for its well-preserved Ottoman-era architecture and cobblestone streets.

The clear blue water spring of The Blue Eye can be seen from a depth of more than fifty meters and it is still unclear what the actual depth of the karst hole is. It is time to indulge in some natural beauty and relaxation. Nivica canyon has been described as Albania’s longest and most beautiful canyon ‘by far’ and some explorers claim it could be longest canyon in Europe.
Visiting the Internment Camp of Tepelene adds a layer of historical significance to your journey. This camp served as a place of imprisonment for convicts, fugitives, and deserters during the communist era.
The Castle of Tepelene, rebuilt in 1820, holds great cultural and historical value. It was used as the second residence of Ali Pasha Tepelena, an influential Albanian ruler who served as the Ottoman pasha of the Pashalik of Yanina.
From the natural beauty of Nivica Canyon to the stories of the internment camp and the architectural marvel of the Tepelene Castle, your journey will be enriched with diverse experiences.
DAY 8 Saturday
UNESCO-WINE-BUNKERS-RIVER
This is our last day of the adventure. Exploring the ancient city of Berat, also known as the "One Over One Windows" city, is a fantastic idea. With its rich history spanning over 2400 years, Berat is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers cultural and architectural wonders to discover.
Testing local wines is a must-do activity while in Albania, and Berat is no exception. The region is known for its vineyards and produces some excellent wines.
And finally, why not end your adventurous day by the riverside, enjoying sweet dreams in the tranquil surroundings? Falling asleep to the sound of flowing water and being surrounded by nature.
DAY 9 Sunday
DROP OFF TO THE AIRPORT
As you start your day after a hearty breakfast and getting all your bags packed and ready, it is time for those final farewells and goodbyes. These last moments before you embark on your journey can be filled with a mix of emotions – anticipation for what lies ahead, nostalgia for what you are leaving behind, and perhaps a touch of nervous excitement for the adventures to come.
Take a moment to cherish the people you are saying goodbye to, whether it is a quick hug, a warm smile, or a heartfelt conversation. These goodbyes are not just parting words; they are a reflection of the connections you share with those around you, the memories you have created together, and the promise of reunion in the future.
As you exchange those final words and hugs, remember to carry with you the love and warmth of these moments throughout your journey. Let them inspire and guide you as you step into the unknown, ready to embrace new experiences and write new chapters in the story of your life.
So, savor these last greetings, hold them close to your heart, and let them fuel your spirit as you set off on your next adventure. And remember, goodbyes are not forever; they are simply until we meet again.

Is the tour suitable for a family?
Yes. Traveling in Albania with children is a unique and extremely rewarding experience.
If your children are used to traveling and camping, there is no reason why they cannot come on a tour. It will be suitable for kids of all ages.
If you are unsure about how you will cope with your kids in a new environment (the kids will be fine, it is the parents that get stressed!) please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Weather – How hot is it?
In the mountains during the summer, months expect mixed days (10 to 35 deg C) and chilly nights, so a warm jumper/fleece will keep you comfortable!
How long are the driving days?
We try to keep the driving days to 4 or 5 hours with a 9:00-9:30 start, an hour for lunch and camp by 19:00, although much depends on the route. We stop frequently during the day to explore, take photographs or simply enjoy the view. The leader vehicle with the guide will lead the convoy through the track of the day. Daily distances vary.
How hard is the driving?
All our tours are adventure oriented, and we try to use asphalt when we must. Conditions will range from mountain tracks, gravel road, river crossings, sandy, and flat plains to some small rock crawling.
The tour is suitable for novice off road drivers (do not worry, we will be on hand to give you advice and help) but sometimes we are going for some challenge.
You'll Meet Interesting People
Traveling is as much about the people you meet as the destinations you visit. You will meet solo travelers, couples and there are also adventure tours for families. Traveling, cooking, eating, driving, sightseeing, doing daily activities will make you bond quickly and you will get plenty of time to learn more about your fellow companions.
